Hey Loves, I’m so so so happy right now! I just had one of the best weekends ever at Generation Beauty Toronto and I’m so excited to share it with you! I had no idea what Generation Beauty was until a month ago when I was scrolling through Facebook and saw the ad. Buying tickets for this kind of came completely out of the blue and I had no idea what I was in for..
So basically, for those who are unfamiliar with the event Generation Beauty is a massive beauty convention put on by Ipsy Beauty. It features both small and large makeup companies, free makeup, networking for creators, and meet and greets with some of the top influencers out there! MAC Cosmetics, Covergirl, Marc Anthony Haircare, and Pixi were among some of the amazing brands in attendance.
In terms of free samples I got quite a lot. Every attendee received a goodie bag worth $200 to kick it off and then there were the free samples. This involved free products of both sample size and full sizes!
The only item from the photo above that I purchased myself was the Benefit Watt’s Up Highlighter and it was 30% off at the Benefit booth. I tried to organize things in categories so here we go from top to bottom we’ve got highlighters, brushes, hair products, a flower crown curtesy of Pixi, a makeup sponge, BB cream, lip products, face products, and eye products. This is well over $300 easily and I can’t believe I got it for free! I’m especially excited to try out the cotton candy pink eyeliner from Absolute New York, and all of the lip colours!! I’m definitely going to be reviewing some of these products in the near future!
Despite what I read online the lineups weren’t that bad, and even if they closed a line for ten to fifteen minutes, they’d reopen them as soon as possible.
In terms of meet and greets and beauty influencers I did one actual meet up and was also able to catch a glimpse of Michelle Phan and Patrick Starr. If you’ve read My Top 10 Youtubers post you’ll know that I’ve been obsessed with Nikita Dragun for the longest time and I absolutely love her makeup vids so of course I jumped at the chance to actually meet her. Guys I fangirled so hard. I didn’t even know what to say. My friend literally told me I looked like a five year old meeting a princess at Disney. I was probably super awkward but whatever it was still such a happy experience!
This was a super fun weekend and I definitely think I’ll be going again next year! If anyones interested in a fun beauty event in San Fransisco or New York there are two more Generation Beauty events coming up!
As Always, Thanks for Reading!
Take Care and Keep Smiling!
P.S. Here’s a photo of my hair/makeup if anyone wants to see!
